Another delay in the case of a Page County man accused of killing a Navy sailor last fall when he crashed his pickup truck into a security vehicle at a base in Virginia Beach.

Online court records show that a preliminary hearing scheduled yesterday for Nathaniel Lee Campbell of Shenandoah was continued until August 14 in Virginia Beach General District Court.

The 38-year-old Campbell is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 23-year-old Petty Officer Third Class Oscar Jesus Temores.

Police say Campbell was the driver of a Chevy Silverado pick-up truck that entered the Joint Expeditionary Base at Fort Story at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was chased by security and collided with a patrol car driven by Temores, who had been in the Navy less than two years.
