RICHMOND, Va. — Five state lawmakers from the Shenandoah Valley secured endorsements from Governor Glenn Youngkin for this November’s general election.

In a release from his political action committee Spirit of Virginia, the governor announced his support for Harrisonburg senator Mark Obenshain in the commonwealth’s Second District.

In the House of Delegates, Youngkin threw his weight behind Rockingham County delegates Tony Wilt and Chris Runion. He also voiced support for Rockbridge and Augusta County’s Ellen Campbell, who’s seeking her first full term after winning her late husband’s seat in a January special election following his death last year.

The fifth endorsee is House speaker and Woodstock delegate Todd Gilbert.

Youngkin said all these lawmakers have supported his “Day One” conservative agenda.
