HARRISONBURG, Va — It’s another day, another heat advisory – this time for the entire Valley.

The National Weather Service says temperatures will soar to dangerous levels for the second consecutive day, starting around 11 this morning through 8 o’clock tonight.

In Harrisonburg, a high of 92 degrees will feel like 101 according to Accuweather’s RealFeel forecast. Shade won’t be much help: the heat index is expected to reach 94 even out of direct sunlight.

Like yesterday, officials say that the hot temps and high humidity increase the risk of heat illness. If you must be outside this afternoon, know the signs of heat exhaustion and when it’s time to take a break.
