MCGAHEYSVILLE, Va – Joel Hensley wants a seat on the Rockingham County Board of Supervisors and Thursday morning, he received the Republican nomination for the District 5 seat.

The McGaheysville resident told WSVA News that one of his goals, if elected, is for the county to remain fiscally responsible and keep taxes low.

The man who currently occupies the seat, Michael Breeden, has decided not to run for re-election after two dozen years on the board.

District 5 includes Elkton, McGaheysville, Massanutten and a portion of Penn Laird.
