FISHERSVILLE, Va – A Staunton man is in custody after he threatened to jump from a fourth story window Wednesday evening.

Augusta County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Leslie Snyder reports that deputies responded at around seven o’clock to an apartment complex on Pinnacle Drive in Fishersville to assist Augusta County Fire and Rescue.

The initial investigation determined that prior to hanging out of the building, he pulled a fire alarm inside the building, and also sprayed an individual with a fire extinguisher. It was later determined that the male also broke into a residence at this location which was the same residence that the male was threatening to jump from.

Snyder added that 62-year-old David Andrew Bell was arrested on six charges, including two felony counts of breaking and entering and felony malicious injury.
He is currently being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
