FOREST, Va. (BC Athletics) – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced Ian Cook as the recipient of this week’s ODAC defensive player of the week honor.

Cook started and earned wins in two ODAC matchups last week. Cook went the full distance between the pipes for the Eagles in a 10-5 win over Shenandoah on Wednesday. The senior keeper made a season-high 16 saves and added two ground balls to his stat column to help propel the Eagles to their first ODAC win of the season.

Cook logged three quarters of action in a 17-2 win on the road over Randolph and recorded two saves and a ground ball. After the two wins last week, the Eagles moved to 2-2 in conference play and currently sit sixth in the standings.

Cook and the Eagles continue ODAC play this week against a nationally-ranked #17 Washington & Lee squad at home. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, Apr. 1 at 4 p.m.
