ASHLAND, Va. (BC Athletics) – The Bridgewater College men’s volleyball team fell to No. 18 nationally ranked Randolph-Macon on the road Wednesday.

Score: No. 18 Randolph-Macon (RMC) 3, Bridgewater (BC) 0
Records: BC (5-25, 2-13), RMC (27-4, 14-0)

How It Happened
• The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets found the rhythm from the beginning and fired a potent offense throughout the match as the Eagles struggled to gain traction. Although a back-and-forth set began in the first set, RMC rode a five-point scoring run to place comfortably in the set. From there, a six-point streak unfolded, and the Eagles could not recover. The first set went to RMC, 25-17.
• The Eagles again tried to get the offense working early boosting a two-point swing, but the Jackets closed the deficit and clamped to yet another strong scoring run. The Eagles hung close despite the multiple scoring runs through the middle of the set, but the deficit continued to challenge the BC offense. The Jackets closed out the second set, 25-17.
• In the third set, the Jackets controlled the pace from the very first point. The Eagles could not make up the deficit while continuing to weather multiple scoring runs. The Jackets rolled efficiently, giving BC limited offense and pressured sequences. The attack errors continued to be set back the offensive flow. RMC finished out the final set, 25-12.

Match Notes
• The Eagles were held to 16 kills while causing 12 errors.
• Corbin Green posted four block assists and three kills.
• Tomi Visgaitis contributed to the offensive sequence with 11 assists of 14 total.
