The Bridgewater Reds captured the Rockingham County Baseball League Championship on Wednesday as they completed a four-game sweep of the Grottoes Cardinals with an 18-8 victory at Ray Heatwole Field.
The Reds dominated the championship series as they outscored Grottoes, 39-17, and they captured their second championship in five seasons.
It’s the 20th RCBL title in franchise history for Bridgewater.
