BRIDGEWATER VA: (Rocktown Now) – Rockingham County firefighters remained on scene of a structure fire into the morning hours, that has caused heavy damage to T & L Woodcraft, located on Spring Creek Road, west of Bridgewater. Bridgewater units were first called to the scene around 11:30 Saturday morning and found heavy fire and smoke. Assisted by fire companies from Cloverhill, Mt Solon, Weyers Cave, Grottoes, Hose Company Number 4 and the City of Harrisonburg, firemen needed to deal with a lack of water, but also the extreme cold and wind. Because of the remote location, tankers were used through the day and overnight to bring water from Bridgewater to the scene, over 3 miles outside of town. The fire caused extensive damage to the main woodwork shop as well as surrounding rooms and buildings.
