HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – After a dry day on Wednesday, the chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase over the next few days. The chance for showers today will be low, but will increase on Friday as a system pulls north out of the Gulf of America, increasing temperatures and humidity levels. High pressure to the north of the Shenandoah Valley will drop south and lower the risk for storms this weekend.

Friday: humid with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm; cloudy in the morning, then times of clouds and sun in the afternoon. High 81. Winds east-northeast 4-8 mph.

Saturday: partly sunny and humid with a thunderstorm in the afternoon. High 81. Winds east 3-6
mph.

Sunday: humid with times of clouds and sun; an afternoon thunderstorm in parts of the area. High 88. Winds south-southwest 6-12 mph.

Monday: clouds and sunshine. A couple showers. High 87. Winds west 2-4 mph.
