Staunton police investigating shooting

STAUNTON VA: (Rocktown Now) – Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place last night in the Staunton area.

Augusta County Sheriff Donald Smith reports that the incident that occurred at around 7:46 pm on Maple Leaf Drive in Staunton left behind two confirmed victims.

No names have been released at this time.

There was still a heavy police presence in the area of Pine Tree Lane and Maple Leaf Drive in the 9 o’clock hour as deputies continued to work the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
